PPA's 2025 Revised Rules on Assessment of Storage Charges

Dear Valued Customers.
Following the Philippine Port Authority’s Memorandum Circular 005-2025, please take note of the new stop date for the computation of the Export Storage charges for containerized cargoes and empty containers in all government ports under the jurisdiction of PPA effective August 21, 2025.
As stated in the memo’s Section 5.2.3, « Storage Charge shall accrue per calendar day after the expiration of Free Storage Period, to be computed until the actual day and time of loading onto the carrying vessel, provided that a fraction of a day shall be considered as one (1) day. »
Meanwhile, the free storage period for Export (both for containerized cargoes and empty containers) remain at Four (4) calendar days equivalent to 96 hours which shall commence on the actual date and time the export container enters (gate-in) the port of export.
To have the visibility on the vessel schedules & cut offs, here again are the digital platforms that are available to provide information such as the vessel schedules, terminal cut-offs, vessel registry, berthing time.
