THAILAND: Serenity Premium Container Guarantee will replace Container Maintenance Charge

CMA CGM would like to inform you about the Container Maintenance charge will be replaced by Serenity Premium Container Guarantee
Dear Valued Customer,
To enhance our customers’ experience, CMA CGM Thailand will simplify the process of the containers’ damage recovery. We will be discontinuing the container maintenance charge for all general dry and reefer containers arriving in Thailand for all Brands (CMA CGM, ANL, CNC & APL). Instead, we will be implementing the Serenity Premium Container Guarantee charge, which will offer 3 main advantages to customers:
1. Container Deposit will be removed for all commodities without exception
2. Customers will be covered for all damages to the container without limitation of the amount of the repairs (except total loss at the condition specified below).
3. Only 1 fee applicable to all Dry units and only 1 fee applicable to all Reefer units
Effective Date: 15th October 2023 (Arrival date in Thai Ports)
From: All origin ports
To: All ports in Thailand
The Serenity Premium Container Guarantee (DTC08) Fee will be applicable as follows:
• DRY Shipment: US$25 per Container (except metal scrap)
• Reefer Shipment: US$35 per Container
• Metal Scrap Shipment: US$55 per Container
This surcharge will cover all repair costs which may be incurred in case of container damage, except in case of total loss of a container loaded with restricted commodities, including scrap metal as specified in terms and conditions.
Example: The estimated repair cost is US$1,000 USD, CMA CGM will be responsible for all the repair cost instead of customer.
Notes:
a) In case the customer does not wish to apply the Serenity Premium Container Guarantee charge, the normal container deposit fee will be applied as usual.
b) The Serenity Premium Container Guarantee will not apply to 'In Transit Cargo' so the container deposit fee will be collected as part of the normal process.
