Updated Gate-in arrangement at Yantian and Shekou terminals

Following our last advisory, the Yantian International Container Terminal (YICT) has announced the following revised gate-in guidelines over the next week to facilitate yard operations:

From 28 May 0000 hours to 30 May 2359 hours:
  • Gate-in of laden containers suspended
  • Pick-up of empty* or laden containers remain permissible, as per normal
From 31 May 0000 hours to 6 June:
  • Gate-in of laden containers only if load vessel’s ETA is within 3 days
  • Pick-up of empty* or laden containers remain permissible, as per normal

Correspondingly, terminals at the Port of Shekou also announced the following gate-in guidelines (MCT / CCT / SCT):

From 1 June 0000 hours till further notice
  • Gate-in of laden containers only if load vessel’s ETA is within 5 days
  • Pick-up of empty* or laden containers remain permissible, as per normal

*All empty containers will only be available for pick-up 5 days before ETD.
