Suspended: Reefer bookings to Fuzhou Maiwei, China

Following the last notice, ports of Fuzhou Maiwei, China continue facing severe shortage of reefer plugs in the terminal due to stricter inspection and disinfection requirements of reefer imports.

In consideration of this situation, please be informed that all carriers under the CMA CGM Group will stop accepting bookings for reefer shipments bound for Fuzhou Maiwei, China, effective from loading date 1 December 2020, until further notice.

For containers in transit, to keep your reefer cargo in premium condition, you are highly recommended to contact your local representative to change the port of discharge/destination.

As we try our best to safeguard your cargo, please note that all related costs will be on Consignee’s account* and payable upon delivery.

*Pursuant to Provision 10 “MATTERS AFFECTING PERFORMANCE” of the carrier’s Bill of Lading Terms and Condition, please be informed that all additional costs, including but not limited to storage, demurrage and plugging costs – onshore or afloat – at the alternative discharge port or extra forwarding costs, shall be for Merchant's account and payable upon delivery. The carrier shall have no liability whatsoever for any loss or damage to cargo resulting from circumstances totally beyond the carrier’s control, for which risks and costs shall be for Merchant’s account. The carrier shall bill the Consignee all such costs together with the import charges during cargo delivery. In the event the Consignee defaults the payment, the carrier withholds the right to demand payment from the Shipper.
